How do
I clean and take care of my cutting board?
Each Kentucky Cutting Board comes with a removable clear
label on the back with maintenance suggestions.
The label looks like this:
This unique cutting board / cheese board was
hand - crafted in Louisville, Kentucky. We hope you
enjoy your board and use it for cutting and serving
every day!
Care and preservation of your
Kentucky Cutting Board
1. Before first use, wash and
rinse board well.
2. After each use, wash
normally using a soft sponge and detergent.
3. To maintain wood, occasionally
rub mineral or salad bowl oil into board with soft cloth
after washing.
4. Store in a ventilated
place (avoid closed storage, such as a drawer).
5. Do not leave board submerged
in water.
6. Do not dry board in
sun, nor in standing position inside sink.
7. Do not place board in
oven or refrigerator.
8. Although the inlaid
side of your cutting board is perfectly safe to cut
and serve food on, we recommend that you cut on the
alternate side, and use the design side for display
in order to retain the beauty of the different species
of wood.
